Clarence Park Festival

This music festival is a free event for all the community held, at the Bandstand in Clarence Park, Denby Dale Road, Thornes, Wakefield.

The event started in 1991 with a small audience and a few bands and has been hosted every year since, except for 2009. This year will be the festival's 21st birthday so we need to make it special! It is now a bigger affair attracting enquiries from local, regional, national bands and solo artistes. The event is free and open to all ages, with the audience ranging from 2000 to 5000 depending on the weather. We comply with WMDC Parks Department strict health and safety and risk assessment requirements including obtaining public liability insurance and security patrols to ensure the event is run in a safe and secure manner.

If you feel you can support this community event by sponsoring us then we can offer a promotional package to suit your needs, e.g. banners displayed, logo on posters, website link. We have a sliding scale of charges from £100 to £500, but can be flexible. If you prefer, you can advertise in the festival programme, these charges start from £40 for a small advert. Alternatively you may want to offer goods ‘in kind’ e.g. marquee, tables and chairs, food for volunteer stewards.
