June 2008 saw the first Brass Band concert performed on the bandstand for almost 20 years. Crofton Silver Prize Band did the honours and all those attending had a fabulous afternoon, all the more so because it only stopped raining 10 minutes before the concert. After that the sun shone down relentlessly! It was a shame that there weren't more people to enjoy it but time will tell..........
